What is Educational Robotics?

Educational robotics is an interdisciplinary teaching system that allows students to develop areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), as well as areas of Linguistics and Creativity.

Students learn to build models that are normally accompanied by a computer program that causes the robot to execute orders (whether to move, identify colors, measure distances to an object, …). The programming systems that are usually used are almost always icon based and not on written instructions, so that learning is more attractive and intuitive. The purpose is for the student to become familiar with the programmable devices, increasingly present in our society (computers, mobile phones, …). With this ability to understand how robots are programmed, they acquire a skill that will be very useful in their personal and professional future.


In Edukative we are specialists in robotics and we work with our own methodology that are summarized in two large blocks:

  • Technical learning.
  • Learning and development of 10 essential skills and competencies.

Technical Learning

  • Building models and study of their operation.
  • Implementation of improvements in the model, thus developing the creativity of the students.

  • Experimentation with models that increase in difficulty to encourage motivation for learning.

The vast majority of current and future jobs cannot be executed by a single person. It will be necessary to work in a team and be able to give the best of each member.


Today’s companies are looking for people who want to accept new challenges and lead their work teams to success. Good leaders are needed, able to motivate their teams to give their best.


Entrepreneurship is not just creating new businesses. It is to bring new points of view to the companies where you work, creating new ways and ideas that change the concept of others that are being done in a certain way to improve procedures, innovate and grow it.


In other cultures, making mistakes is well valued, since it means that you have tried and that you have gained experience. Wrong, fail, gives us an experience that is priceless when it comes to correctly solving the challenge and facing new challenges.


Not finding the right answer quickly generates frustration that leads to strong emotions on many occasions. Learning to master your emotions is essential to manage your emotional education.


Our sons and daughters must be able to question the information they receive, based on reasoned criteria. This will help them in the future not to accept as dogma everything they are told and will open new paths for them.


Creativity arises when the statements raised as invariable are questioned. Creativity leads us to be leaders of our work teams, being able to propose new ways of solving the challenges posed.


Our students learn that without effort there is no reward. To achieve success in any challenge we face in life, whether personal, academic or professional, it is necessary to strive and work to master it. The correct solution comes as a result of being focused on the challenge and with the focus on this objective.


When our students master the previous points, they gain self-confidence. They begin to have the intimate conviction that they are capable of successfully carrying out each proposed task, that is, they improve their ability to make decisions with critical thinking.


It is a very important skill. They must be able to be convincing, to synthesize the information, to give clear and concise answers, since the best projects, without good exposure, may never materialize.

The joint development of personal skills multiplies the opportunities of students to learn to be more efficient, apply more complex thinking processes, apply their learning and feed back from the contributions of their peers.


EDUKATIVE is the state-level pioneer center that developed its own project “Educational Robotics taught in English” 5 years ago. From the beginning we bet on believing in the infinite learning possibilities that all children have.

A child, when born, initiates innate learning of the mother tongue through listening, that is, this spontaneous learning follows a natural order that consolidates the development of the language as the child grows and acquires the necessary skills in every moment

The next step in the natural language acquisition process is the verbalization of words, expressions and phrases and the combination of them in different contexts. In this way the vocabulary is enriched and expanded and the child learns the meaning of everything he hears.

Why not apply the same learning pattern to a second language in our case the English language through robotics?

In Edukative we do full immersion in English during our classes. When a child immerses himself in an activity he likes, motivates and enjoys, his ability to understand, listen and integrate learning multiplies exponentially. Thus we take advantage of the opportunity that robotics offers us throughout its process to enhance the acquisition of vocabulary in the child and improve their ability to understand in English.

Our extracurricular training program runs from 3 to +16. Classes are conducted entirely in English: construction guides, programming and development of class content. Thus we recreate an almost real scenario that in the very near future will be found in the academic and labor world.

Your children will need to master programming in virtually any workplace, and will need to communicate in English.
